“How to Become a More Effective Leader?”

A training titled “How to Become a More Effective Leader” was organized for the members of the senate and administrative staff of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University by Prof. Dr. Azmi YALÇIN, a faculty member of Çukurova University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. 

In the training; starting from the differences between leadership and management, the essential skills and qualities that an effective leader should possess were discussed in detail. Participants were informed about how competencies critical for leadership, such as emotional intelligence, self-awareness, self-management, empathy, and social skills, provide advantages in the business world. Additionally, it was emphasized that participants could create more impact on their teams by identifying their own leadership styles. 

At the end of the training, guidance was provided for administrators to discover their strengths, develop strategies that increase employee engagement, and create a
