In line with the collaborations and studies implemented by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) in recent years, as a result of evaluations aimed at improving students' professional knowledge, skills, and experiences, 9 programs of MAKÜ received accreditation from the Vocational Education Assessment and Accreditation Association (MEDEK). While three of the nine programs received full accreditation for 4 years, 6 programs were also entitled to receive 2 years of accreditation.

Our programs that received full accreditation for four years: Gölhisar Health Services Vocational School Emergency and First Aid, Yeşilova İsmail Akın Vocational School Culinary Arts, Social Sciences Vocational School Civil Aviation Transportation Management

Our programs that received accreditation for two years: Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Vocational School Civil Aviation Transportation Management, Ağlasun Vocational School Banking and Insurance, Burdur Technical Sciences Vocational School Construction Technology, Burdur Health Services Vocational School Emergency and First Aid, Çavdır Vocational School Occupational Health and Safety, and Gölhisar Vocational School Architectural Restoration

Rector Dalgar: “Thanks to accreditation, our equivalence is recognized in Europe, which increases the value of our diplomas”

Speaking at the certificate ceremony, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar said: “Today, we have come together regarding the accreditation of our educational programs, which hold an important place in the management policy of our university. As a university, after our 5-year institutional accreditation, we quickly focused on program accreditations. We have also taken significant steps in this process in faculties and vocational schools. Especially for vocational schools, the accreditation of programs is of great importance in certifying quality standards and enhancing the reputation of these programs.

Out of the 9 programs applied for so far, 3 have been fully accredited. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this success. We aim to achieve full accreditation by completing our deficiencies for our other programs. Our new applications are also ongoing; our biggest goal is to have all our programs accredited by the end of this process.

It is clear that accredited programs are more advantageous for students in terms of preference. In fact, thanks to accreditation, our equivalence is recognized in Europe, which increases the value of our diplomas. We believe that in the near future, programs that are not accredited will struggle to attract students. We are in a highly competitive higher education environment, and I believe that with these accreditations, we will solidify our place among the universities and programs preferred by students.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this success. I also express my gratitude to Prof. Dr. Remzi Gören, who personally came to our university to present the documents, for his kind visit.”  he stated.

Prof. Dr. Remzi Gören: “MAKÜ has once again demonstrated that it successfully achieves quality standards in education”

MEK President Prof. Dr. Remzi Gören stated that MEDEK provides accreditation services for vocational school programs and supports students to be equipped and competitive individuals in their fields, saying, “The accredited programs of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University once again demonstrate that it successfully achieves quality standards in education. I congratulate all the academic and administrative staff who contributed to this process and wish for other programs to continue this success.”

The certificate ceremony held at MAKÜ was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar and MEDEK Vocational Education Assessment and Accreditation Association MEK President Prof. Dr. Remzi Gören, as well as our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen, Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, and the directors and department heads of accredited Vocational Schools.
