Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Student Senate held its second meeting. Important topics regarding education-teaching processes, campus life, and student services were discussed in the meeting.
The student Merve Öztürer, who chaired the session, shared the decisions made in the senate with the participants. Various topics such as equal opportunities for disabled students, campus security, transportation, and student support services were discussed, and solution proposals were developed. It was decided that the decisions made would be submitted to the Rectorate for communication to the relevant units and necessary arrangements to be made.
The Student Senate will continue its efforts to ensure more active participation of students in the education-teaching process, support quality and accreditation processes, and communicate student expectations to the university administration by establishing strong communication.
In addition to the Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy and Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, the meeting was attended by Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan, Education-Teaching Development Coordinator and Director of the Institute of Educational Sciences Prof. Dr. Perihan Ünivar, Deputy Secretary General Mesut Türkmen, Head of the Student Affairs Department Hüseyin Kahraman, and members of the Student Senate.
